1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Chefsline, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14987321) with registered office at 1 Paternoster Square, London EC4M 7DX.
By signing up, using the Chefsline dashboard, booking widget, mobile app, or any connected API, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you’re accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for every action taken under your account. Notify us immediately at security@chefsline.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
Each staff login is personal. Sharing a single login across multiple operators violates these Terms and may trigger automatic suspension.
3. Plans, fees and billing
Chefsline offers Basic (free, 3.5% platform fee on deposits, vouchers and event tickets), Pro (£99 per venue per month, 0% platform fees) and Enterprise (custom pricing). Current details are available on our pricing page.
Subscriptions renew monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the paid period and no partial refunds are issued.
VAT is applied where required by law. Stripe processing fees are charged separately by Stripe and deducted from each transaction.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) resell the service without a written partner agreement; (b) reverse engineer, scrape or probe the platform for vulnerabilities outside our disclosed programme; (c) upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes others’ rights; (d) use Chefsline to send unsolicited bulk communications.
We may suspend accounts that threaten platform integrity, security, or the experience of other customers, with notice where practical.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of all guest records, bookings, menus and content you upload. We process this data on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement, available on request.
On cancellation you may export your data in CSV format for up to 60 days. After that, data is irreversibly deleted from production systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90.
6. Availability and service levels
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the booking engine and dashboard, measured against the public status page at status.chefsline.uk. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance.
Enterprise customers receive a signed SLA with service credits. Basic and Pro plans are provided on a best-efforts basis without guaranteed credits.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chefsline’s aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of £1,000 or the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost bookings, or reputational harm. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days’ notice. We may terminate immediately if you breach these Terms materially and fail to cure within 14 days of written notice.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the English courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Enterprise customers can request a counter-signed Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Agreement.
